Law enforcement knows people are setting fires. I camped in an area that looked like someone had tried starting one. Burned on one end logs tossed in about an 80 yard diameter. And it isnt repubs doing it given they live and play in those rural areas. Good luck proving it though given who controls the information

You can completely see the virtues and convictions that made an American steadfast. The evolutionary process that the American person went through made them an extraordinary human. RIP Preston you will be sadly missed by everyone. Preston was a true country gentleman and a great friend to Eustace. I'm glad to see his son's and grandson there with Eustace keeping up their dads traditions. I hope they stay close to Eustace because Preston was his best friend, more like brothers than friends and I think Eustace will be very lonely without Preston. I know this happened a few years ago but I just found out so my thoughts and prayers are with all of them.

My dad Jim North opened the airport on Kodiak Island in 1967,as a 4 year old we flew from seattle wash to kodiak on a constelation 4 prop plane just 1 hour away was afognak island,we hunted elk on the island.The bears they deal with came from kodiak.When I was little we used to throw rocks at them from hills above near the ocean,looking back wasnt very smart hahahaha.I grew up on Kodiak and served 2 tours in the oast Guard there,great fishing,hunting and no BLM to deal with just bears.

I didn’t say not to carry a firearm I said you should have had bear mace. Secondly and most importantly he kept saying he didn’t want to shoot a bear and if he had the game wardens would have asked why didn’t you have mace. Third I have used bear mace and it stopped a charging female grizzly with a cub it works 99.9% of the time against grizzly bear attacks. 100% of the time on black bears. Don’t try to lecture me on the effectiveness of bear mace or dead people who used bear mace total BS. Try bear mace it will turn any bear around. If it comes back then shoot it. Total BS I have used it people I know used it and it works. Know one said don’t carry a firearm and for your information bear mace is much more likely to stop a charging bear then a pistol! It worked for me on Kodak island AK. Come on carry both on your hips.

Where did you get that statistic from. And did everyone who died after trying bear mace report their findings too? If a bear is close and charging you you can trust your life to bear mace. I’ll get in or on my truck and fire a warning shot or mace if i can. If i see a bear charge out of nowhere its a gun. Dont be so quick to judge a situation. @dak r34 Though it is possible for a Grizzly/Brown bear to climb trees. It is very uncommon for them to do so. If you're able to climb a tree to protect yourself from attack. It would be a wise decision to do so. What you should not do is run. Stand your ground, make yourself look as large and intimidating as possible and slowly back up. Brown bears are not good at climbing trees. They're to heavy ,their claws are to big etc. Black bears are proficient at climbing trees however Brown bears are not.

They can’t even make these shows halfway convincing anymore. That dudes cabin burnt from a wild fire....yet there is NOTHING anywhere around that cabin that was burnt, EXCEPT for the cabin it’s self...all live trees and non burnt grass 360 degrees around the cabin....and call me crazy, but when they showed a pic of the cabin before it was ‘burnt’ by this mythical wild fire....the landscape was TOTALLY different. 🤫🤔

Boat trip, about 500 bucks, other expenses say 200 easy, so about 700 bucks maybe more, Alaska is expensive, could have bought Salmon packaged and frozen for 4 bucks a pound in ANC. Kind of like the Kilchers, they are about 5 miles from a grocery store. Can't watch anymore fake drama.

Teach them how to grow vegetables in the winter. Or better yet, send them all checks in the mail. Maybe start with the homeless people. Give one a room in your home and have your friends do the same
