A personal thank you to Air Force MSgt Ryan Crane for nominating me for this flight. Thank you sir.
The Thunderbirds have a IRitem Channel
This flight took place on May 3, 2019 in Biloxi Mississippi. The reason it took so long to release is the high amount of research I wanted to do before releasing the video. I even visited the Air Force Research Lab at Wright Patterson AFB to discuss some aspects of this video with Aerodynamicists. Synchronizing all this footage and coordinating additional B Roll with the Thunderbirds Public Affairs Officer also required a lot of effort.
These are my own thoughts, not those of the U.S. Air Force or the Thunderbirds:
I've been around a lot of pilots and ground crew in my life and I must say that the professionalism displayed by the Thunderbirds was astounding. Their goal is to inspire and demonstrate the capabilities of the US Air Force, so I'll take it a step further. If you're a smart young person who is interesting in changing your life for the better, strongly consider the Air Force. The job market isn't the best at the moment but the Air Force still has opportunities available for you to learn incredible skills even if you're not interested in flying. They manage everything from logistics, electronics, aerospace, cyber and even space systems. The threats to freedom are becoming more complex, and in my experience working for the Department of Defense over a 15 year span (even longer if you count my work as a contractor) The US Air Force consists of some of the most intelligent service members our country has. These people are book-smart, but also have the confidence to solve real world problems with their own hands. If I have a complex aerodynamic question, my first call is usually to someone in the Air Force, because they understand these complex phenomena intuitively. For example, in this video you would hear Flack and I talking about pitot tubes in flight. We also had other discussions about fuel burn rates, Prandtl Glauert, weather.... all kinds of things. Simply put, if you're looking for direction in your life, and you're good with science and math... consider the Air Force. That being said, they also need other types of skills as well. Logisticians, writers, creative people who know how to solve complex problems in unique ways.

This video was the opportunity of a lifetime. When asked if I wanted to fly in an F-16, I said "Yes please, and there are some things I'd like to study. Can we try supersonic flight at different altitudes?" I'm very grateful for this opportunity and would like to thank Flack and the rest of the US Air Force Thunderbirds. This flight took place on May 3rd, 2019. This Spatial Disorientation training is something all fighter pilots go through so they can understand how their own physiology works under these conditions. Thank you for watching and learning with me. I always wanted to know what happened in the cockpit when a jet goes supersonic. Stupid science Science doesn't know Every second the Sun emits billions billions ^ billion lightning 0, 1 voltage create sunlight, 1 positron + attracts 1 electron - create lightning 0,1 voltage . Science poisoning the world is the solar system rotating inertia. Children alsoknow that inertia doesn't cause A wheel to spin forever. Positron + and electron -- rotate very rapidly after 10 billion years of creating the Sun ' s core, so the core of the Sun rotates very quickly like A super large electric turbine that produces super large electrical energy Every second the Sun emits 4,1million tons of electricity create sunlight, sunlight moves the circle back to its original position after 10 second, so pushes the 8 planet to rotate in order

Wow man. This video is awesome. I am always intrigued by the things that an F16 of any similar fighter jet does while in an air show, but never knew any theory about it. This video was both impressive and very interesting. From now on when I go attent a flight show I will think about the huge amount of crazy G’s while the pilots have to maintain their head to work. Beautiful shot video too,

Awesome experience! The reason why the mach number is lower in high altitudes is, because it is dependent of the temperature, which decreases. a = sqrt(k • R • T) where a is the mach number, k which is 1,4 for air, R the specific gas constant, and T the temperature.

Awesome! I was fortunate to have an F16-D incentive flight while in the Air Force. We pulled 9G's and went Mach 1.3 over the Adriatic Sea. Got the certificate from the squadron CC. The flight was awesome...highlight of my career (retired with 21 years TIS, all active).

Learning one’s limits is a foundational aspect of maturity and (ironically) is what allows some people to exceed a (perceived) limit. Mace addressed this when she spoke about “acquired tolerance” gained through repetition and training. We start out as children with an important and necessary deception called perception of invulnerability. As children, we walk around most of the time believing we cannot die. We have vastly unrealistic beliefs about our abilities and limits. My mother loves to tell the story of a 3-year-old me who would tell her that I could not be hit by a car while playing in the street, because I would lie on the ground and push the car in the air and make it pass over me. I truly believed this. As we age, experiences and gained knowledge begins to lessen our perception of invulnerability as reality sets in and we begin to truly learn our limits. However, most of us we never completely shed this mythological perception, and that is very important for us as a society to grow and create. People like Steve Jobs and Elon Musk have maintained a lot of their perception of invulnerability, supported and affirmed by their successes (when others tell them something is impossible). Their failures may lessen this invulnerability perception, but it doesn’t erase it (thankfully). If everyone had an exactly perfect perception of their vulnerability, far fewer would ever attempt to achieve something beyond a consensus of what the crowd says is possible. This is augmented by dreams, aspirations and necessity, but the foundation is that critical perception of invulnerability. Before Mace ever sat in a cockpit, she had some perception that she would (or might) be invulnerable to G forces that most of us cannot withstand. Her successes affirmed this perception until she trained to make it her reality. Your experience in the F-16 denied your perception of invulnerability and you gained maturity and a wonderful new attitude about approaching new experiences and interactions with other people. You are now more aware of your limits and the reality that your perception of invulnerability can be wrong and cause you to act in ways that can hurt your relationships with others and hamper your ability to succeed. That is a real key (IMHO) to succeeding in life: the constant affirmation and denial of our perception of invulnerability, which teaches us our limits, but also causes us to strive to “acquire tolerance” so we can push beyond a previous limitation to grow, create and expand our horizons.
